The search features are a little annoying because they take so long, but the compatability match is fun once you get to the results… I was pretty shocked at some of the matches, but we turned out to be great friends.

Sexy and hot client list. Met some good people and it’s easy to keep out the creeps. Not a huge fan of the matching system, but with a little effort you can find your own partners that rock.

I find dates for each home game, nearly never fail to have a good time. If you are open minded you can meet some great people, some singles that you may not mesh with, but still on the whole its a better place and easier than your local bar!

Wow 2100 pages of Eharmony haters on edatereview.com, I think I finally found some real matches here! lol

Eharmony is a scam, they want my 45 bucks and give no bonafide matches…ZERO…NONE! What a scam they have going, Bernie Madeoff must be running this site!
99% and most likely ALL are NON-active Ghost members to entice fools into joining.
Eharmony is actually advertising on some dating review site with a video!!! So they probably OWN the site! And I would bet heavy that a generous portion of people who “love Eharmony” are fakes working for the site being how there are very few take it or leave it people out there…its all love or hate and I know the haters are real because I just became another one of the growing population.

Paying members cant contact anyone who is not? So what am I paying for again?? Oh yeah so I can see what they look like…wait I can do that for free on any other dating site.

Then you can’t organize them other than ‘archive’ some and then maybe ‘close’ some so then your all confused and are forced to see your mis matches ( over 500) all mixed in with the ones you want to keep for reference. So after frustration sets in you end up “Archiving” them all. gee how handy to look at a blank screen huh?

Then they argue and refuse to give a refund because I was on for 4 days with ZERO responses…and ZERO SENT MAILINGS??(because they wont let you send to non members, who dont even exist) Every letter they write back is argumentative as they still try to sell me more on the site??? SERIOUSLY?? This is the worst company I have ever dealt with.
Looks like everyone is finding out and putting the word out about Ehardonme.
Shouldn’t be long now until they slam the cell door on Dr Neil.

Everyone out there searching hard and getting scammed like this , I wish you all the best of luck on your search.

eHarmony account is set auto-renewal. So if your not paying attention your subcription will renew by what you origional contract lenght was. Their No-refunds renewal policy is absolute. The auto-renewal along with no-refund policy is simply a tool to screw over the subscribers one last time before they leave! I agree to paying 1 month as my part in error for not paying close enough attention to the “account settings” but 3,6 or more months is absolutely ridiculous. If it wasn’t meant to screw the consumer it would renew monthly not doubling the subscription. Simply because you decided to invest multiple months in good faith in eHarmony you get taken for more than anyone just giving the site a try for a month. Great way to treat your best customers! Spread the word about eHarmony’s abuse of its customer and poor quality matches.
I have had little to no luck on eHarmony. I’ve been on other sites with absolutely no problems. I am not a disgusting nasty person & date on a regular basis without the help of websites. I have only had 1 date/meeting generated by eHarmony in 6 months. If I had actually had any decent matches I would have renewed myself. I can afford the money, I can’t tolerate being taken advantage of. I wouldn’t recommend eHarmony to anyone!!!!

  • I totally agree…this eharmony service is a scam…sneaky and false advertisement..they sent me a promo offer to my email…and then after I take over an hour to fill out the ridiculously long thing..they tell me..oh but you can’t see any pic unless you pay..oh btw the promo was for Friday,Sat, Sun and Mon..but they send you the offer late Sunday..ok..then for each so call match THEY send you..before you can even find out if the person is interested you have to send the person…many many questions that eharmony selects for you to send them…and once..or IF they every reply..which could take weeks..then you might just get to communicate directly to them..so are you following me..the offer is a TOTAL scam..if anyone wants to do a class action on them for false advertisement..and being scam artist..let me know..cuz I wasted practically a whole day of my time dealing with the azz holes..Good luck should you decide to deal with them. I agree with the other person who said..Bernie Madeoff..must be a partner of theirs.

eHarmony is a rip-off. I took advantage of the free weekend recently. It seemed like the perfect site, since it had that detailed dating assessment. I had received messages, but I was not able to see then until I forked over some cash. I was able to see some when I a total of $137.85 to get more services for the next three months. Now that the 3 days have passed, I cannot view messages and the “matches” are anything but an ideal match. It contains to match me with individuals that are too young or too old, plus the reason for the match is usually one thing that has nothing to do with meeting the right guy.

  • I am a young 41 woman, the men that get sent to me look like they just came from under a rock…WTF??? I paid good $$ for this site and not one good looking man has matched up with me??? seriously this site licks..not worth the $$ or your time…I’d rather go to the bar and chat someone up! WHAT A SCAM you can’t even cancel subscription.

eharmony is useless. I paid almost $150 for 6 months and I’m getting really weird matches, full of people whose hobbies, habits, lifestyles, etc., are not what I would consider dating material let alone “love” or “marriage” material. And I’ve sent emails and questions to at least a couple of potential matches a day — yes, finding love is grueling — and three weeks later I haven’t received a SINGLE reply. I’m above average looks, well educated, set the bar reaaally low just to see if I can get someone to reply, and nada. I have more luck on okcupid.

  • Yes actually you can cancel. I was subscribed for two weeks and had way too many responses, i couldn’t keep up with so I closed my account. Being a traditional gal, it just felt wrong communicating with multiple men. I’ve kept in touch with two who are great friends now. But I did cancel my subscription and by doing that I stopped getting matches. The system worked for me, but then again I’m not out there looking for a “good time”. I suppose the system matched me with people who were genuine because I am too…

I signed up for 3 months. It has been a waste of money. 60% of my matches don’t have a picture. I have only had one date on this site in 3 months and he hasn’t changed his pictures in 10 years. The system is annoying. I have better luck on Match or Plenty of Fish.

  • It is a great site. I am now married and have two beautiful baby girls thanks to this site to find the love of my life. Thank You eharmony!!! I wish more people will use th site as much as I did.

  • We could finish each other’s sentences and supposedly it was a match made in Heaven. Yeah right! He didn’t tell about his daughter who he was supporting at 38 and still dragging her way through unending university classes or that he only wanted to marry to “have legitimate relations.” The marriage lasted about 4 years and most of it we were separated due to his “job” absences. If you want a match to a possible pharisee, visit there today. Who claims to be religous may not be as religious as they say.

    SCAM!
I have been on this site for a month and this is what I have gotten:

Men who live over an hour away or who live in Canada. That is not within the 30 mile radios.

I have 25 open communications now. Two people have contacted me. One lives over an hour away :/

I have received many “matches” that have no picture. Like many here I suspect those are dead profiles.

I set my age range to be 30 to 45 and they send me 25 year old men! I’m 37!

I can’t look at men or browse their website. I can look at the “what if” section but most of them are in another state or 4 hours away.

Its laughable how they match people up. On the side bar there is a section on what your match likes as well. It could be as simple as “they like dogs.” WOW. Now that is a love match. We both like dogs! So does 90% of the rest of the country!

A few men I have found interesting, but they do not reply to my requests, which btw are cumbersome. First you have to go through generic questions, likes/dislikes/ your own set of questions and then you get to the email stage. I’ve skipped the nonsense on a few and went to email.

I agree with the lady who said just go to a bar. I think we’d have better luck. I also agree that I wish 20/20 or someone would do an investigation on this company.

  • I have been with e-harmony for nearly a month and totally agree with the negative comments that this site is very fishy and I am begining to suspect it is a total rip-off. I am an attractive mid forties lady, very well educated with an excellent job who has never struggled finding dates and can commununicate openly with people from various backgrounds. I love meeting people from other cultures,I have never been judgmental about others social status, I am not materialistic and definitley don’t judge people just on appearance. I have lots of friends both male and female but I decided to try e-harmony because it seemed to offer a more serious approach and now my son is grown up I am serious about finding a long-term relationship. I am a very genuine, honest and open person. I feel I expressed this the best way I could in my profile, I listed all my interests and hobbies and posted a variety of recent, good quality photos, which I asked my friends to help me choose, as you never look the way you think you do ( I hope this makes sense but I wanted the photos to be honest rather than the most flattering. Saying that I still looked pretty good !!) However after 3-4 weeks I am very dissapointed. The matches are totally inappropriate, they do not stick to the criterea I have specified in any field and I am being sent matches for very nice men who are far too young for me, I have had to re-set my criterea several times and have phoned e-harmony several times to complain this keeps happening. I was then sent several gentlemen in their 60′s. Seriously is this their idea of a joke or punishment for daring to complain? I have committed to 3 months membership but I a currently looking at ways to get out of this. I’ve given up on this site and rather than sit home reading inappropriate matches and getting more and more dissapointed I’ve just started going out with friends a little more and have looked a joining a couple of local clubs which cover my areas of interest. This is the traditional way which has worked for generations and has always worked for me in the past. I think e-harmony is a rip off for people who have stopped believing in themselves for a variety of reasons. We all have periods in our life when we feel a bit low but this site is not the answer. Just get out there and believe in yourself, meet real people face to face and as my mum says “it will happen when you least expect it” when you are totally relaxed enjoying yourself. This is when people are at their most attractive, E-harmony is just not for me and it’s been a waste of money. I actually feel more traditional on -line dating sites are more honest and effective. I’ve never tried them, but I would rather be able to pick out my own matches. Another negative aspect of e-harmony is that you actually get to know that people have rejected you as a potential match ….how awfull !!! From what I can make of other dating sites ( many of which are free) this does not happen as you have no contact with people you are not intereted in, They do not know you have looked at their profile and passed them over so no ones self-esteem gets a bashing!!! Save your money and just believe in yourself !!!!

I can’t believe how many haters there are out there. Sure, I was contacted by a lot of pervs on the site. I IGNORED THEM. It’s not a big deal. I used common sense and dated the guys that were respectful, handsome and not desperate! 9 months later I married my current husband that I met through eHarmony. If you want the site to do ALL of the work for you than you are doomed from the start. Suck it up sisters, we are better than this, stop acting like helpless, hapless individuals and take control of your life.
